Melanie has been involved at ACS as a parent since 2009. She was a lunch helper, chaperoned field trips and ran the Book-It Program. Since 2018, she has stepped up to be an ACS employee doing everything from covering the front desk, aiding in classrooms, serving lunch, scheduling speakers for both campus chapels as well as scheduling speakers for the high school Practical Living class and last but not least, accompanying our wonderful ACS choirs for Choir Fests, Christmas and Spring concerts. Just this past summer, she took on the task of north campus office manager. Melanie has 2 amazing children at ACS. Tori is a senior this year and Teagan is a sophomore. They have both been here since kindergarten. They also just adore their dog, Biscuit. Melanie has most recently been attending Budd Lake Chapel. She is committed to this school not only because of its Godly values, but the high level of our teachers and staff is a joy to look forward to every day!

Carolyn is passionate about helping students enjoy the sciences, especially chemistry. She wants students to understand God’s Creation through the study of science. Carolyn is happily married to Peter Bartek. They have three children: Victoria, Peter and Jacob. The Bartek family has a rescue dog named Perry. Carolyn is a graduate Dover Area High School in Pennsylvania. She has a BS in Chemistry and a PhD in Organic Chemistry. She attends Grace Church. Carolyn has taught 3rd grade Sunday School class for many years. She has been involved in a West Virginia mission trip for the last 2 years. Carolyn enjoys running, hiking and has recently taken up golf. She has been a chemistry teacher at American Christian School for 10 years, and is committed to supporting Christian Education.

Stephanie has always had a love for the English language and enjoys sharing that passion with her students. From classic novels, to Shakespeare, to contemporary poetry, she finds the richness in it all.  When she is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with family, friends and being on the lake.

I am thrilled to be a part of the ACS family. I’ve been a meteorologist for over 23 years.  Before teaching, I worked in the television industry for 17 years as a meteorologist weather producer off camera. I have two beautiful daughters.  Fun facts about me…my favorite sport is football and my favorite food is pizza.

When not teaching math, Rebecca is hanging out with her husband, Ben, and her daughter, Phoebe. The Lambert family loves playing board and card games and doing puzzles. Rebecca loves going on hikes with the family dog, Laika. Often while working on a knitting or embroidery project one of her three cats are trying to steal her yarn. On Sundays, she joins her extended Lambert family members at First Baptist Church. While studying computer science at a community college, Rebecca fell in love with teaching mathematics in the tutoring center. This led to her BA in mathematics. After tutoring thousands of students, she co-authored the curriculum used at ACS with her business partner, Dr. Phillips. She lives and breathes math at ACS, and this allows her to fully support its students to ensure that they have a transformative educational experience.

Mr. Ressa was raised in a loving Christian home but did not accept Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior until he was 15 years old while on a Youth Group Missions Trip to Gary, Indiana in 1995. Keith graduated High School in 1998 and attended several community colleges before transferring to Liberty University in 2001. Mr. Ressa graduated Liberty University in 2004 with a Bachelors in Science and began post-graduate work in 2005 and teacher certification in 2006. Mr. Ressa taught History and Bible at Hunterdon Christian Academy from 2006-2008, before pursuing a Masters Degree at Liberty from 2008-2010. After receiving his Masters, Mr. Ressa accepted an opportunity to work in sales and marketing in the private sector from 2010-2013. In 2013, Mr. Ressa made the decision to enlist in the U.S. Army and served as an Infantrymen as part of the 10th Mountain Division in upstate New York from 2014 to 2017. After receiving his honorable discharge in 2017, Mr. Ressa decided to use his Post-9/11 GI Bill to begin his PhD. work at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland in 2018-2019. Due to several family emergences in 2019, Mr. Ressa moved back to the United States and continued his PhD. work at Liberty University. Mr. Ressa has been a proponent of Classical Christian Education for over 15 years and is thankful to teach at American Christian School where such a philosophy of education is championed and promoted.

Coach Roman is born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He is a 20 year Retired Navy Veteran who served in Desert Shield, Desert Storm. He served onboard the USS San Jose and the USS Cowpens and many other Navy commands. He is also a retired NJ Police Officer and married to a fellow retired Navy Veteran. They have two kids a Madelyn and DJ. Coach Roman began working at ACS as the Physical Education teacher at both the North and South Campus. He had a BS in Sports Management from St. John’s University. He has been playing baseball his entire life and coaching baseball/softball for over 30 years. In Spring of 2023 Coach Roman will be the new Softball Coach at ACS. Coach Roman does private coaching for baseball/softball and coaches travel teams throughout the year. Coach Roman and his family attends St. Matthews Church and he is pleased to be back in a Christian environment like ACS.

Wendy is a graduate of Towson State University and also has an advanced certificate to teach English as a foreign language. She is passionate about learning languages and helping others to communicate well in other languages. Wendy is married to Rob and they have raised five boys together. Fun facts: She can speak portions of 5 languages and has traveled to 17 different countries.
